Got boiled fruit, not marmaladeDecember 07, 2010 By SheMichaels
I like quince, this is fine for boiled quince. (And why add another tart fruit?) One can boil quince in stews & have it as a side fruit. There are so many ways to use quince: they're so much better than baked apples, for one. This only produces a fruit to be added after a stew is finished. I wanted marmalade & I got a nice stewed fruit & a nice syrup I can use as necessary. Too much water, for one thing. Who ever made this & passed it on?

what do you do with the cores and seeds? I will make this when the fruit is in season, it will remind me of my childhood, my mother used to makes this in Cyprus. This is my favorite marmalade, I tried the ready made, but threw them all out and they are costly..
