This was my first time at making any kind of jelly. Only thing I did different was I did not peel the plums..We just cut slices off around the pits and ran the fruit through a blender choppingthe peels so fine you never even know they are there. I think it adds a bit of tartness to the flavor. We used fresh from the tree plums. Picked, pitted, cooked, and canned within about 1.5 hrs. Great recipe.

I used this recipe in my first canning experience. It was great! I did change it just a bit, though. I threw a sprig of Rosemary into it while it was cooking, and a couple of shakes of powdered ginger. When I tasted the right amount of Rosemary that I wanted, I took the sprig out and finished cooking the Jam.

This plum jam is amazing! So simple to make and such a great way for me to utilize all the plums growing on my three plum trees! I used a red lavender tea instead of water . . . yummy! This was my first time making jam of any kind and it was so easy that I can't wait to jam up more of my plums for holiday gifts. :)

This is the easiest jam I have ever made. And to top it off it tastes great. The instructions are easy to follow as well. Usually I have a burnt pan after making jam, but not with this one
