    Absolutely delicious!November 15, 2009 By rtungett
I don't cook very often, but bought this roast and wanted to do something different than I usually do. I ended up here after doing a search for ""cook 7 bone roast."" This is a fail proof recipe anyone can make! It turned out great, the meat was very tender and the gravy was a big hit! I cooked just the meat in the gravy, no veggies. I served it over rice with a side of green beans and potato rolls. My son and husband loved it. I will definitely make it again!

    Wonderful...but with a few twists...December 12, 2007 By k_squared
I've always heard of a coke and a smile, but a coke and a roast? The first time I made this I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out delicious. Trust me, YOU CANNOT GO WRONG with this recipe. The second time I made this I did the following: • Less meat, more veggies (2.5 lbs of meat and still fed 6 people) • Longer roast time (3 hours) • Added Worchester sauce ( ¼ cup) • French sea salt (vs. Kosher salt) (Grey French Sea Salt…it brought out a more “meaty” flavor) • Heavier salt/pepper seasoning of the roast when searing (French Sea Salt is coarser, thereby leading to a heavier coating, plus I let the pan get REALLY hot before searing and allowed the roast to sear for 2-3 mins on each side) • Used real Sweet Hungarian paprika (not the generic kind) this made a subtle but still noticeably amazing difference. • The “sweet” paprika combined with the sugar from the Coke and meaty sea-salt flavor…WOW. Try it. I’d love to know which version you like best.
