I enjoyed this meatloaf. Made it exactly per instructions. Next time I think Ill leave out the onion since the onion soup mix and the onion was a bit much for me

    Dy-no-mite!February 09, 2010 By jackisews
Looked in the fridge this afternoon. Found Jimmy Dean sausage, ground turkey and ground beef. Had enough to double the recipe--and I'm glad I did. I froze one meatloaf in a tupperware and cooked the other for supper. Everybody was happy, especially since I don't cook much. :) Easy-peasy to make, too. Made the obligatory mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables and now everybody is fat and sassy with smiles on their faces.

Best Meatloaf Ever. Period. Don't argue.February 16, 2009 By PeterPangloss
For many years, I have tried to recapture the flavor and texture of the meatloaf of my innocent youth, to no avail. When I came across this recipe, I puzzled at the inclusion of Lipton's Onion Soup Mix. And then I wondered: could THAT be the ingredient that had been missing from my meatloaves alllthese years? It was. When I took my first bite of this meatloaf, I nearly swooned as I was transported back to my misspent youth. Oh my heavens everything was Frankie Avalon and the Big Bopper and Sputnik and I Like Ike and Annette and it was just as if June Cleaver herself, pearls and all, had made that meatloaf with her own fair hands. I nearly wept. I may still. And I will make this meatloaf again and again and again until senility overtakes me. Oh, Auntie Em! There's no place like home! Okay, silliness aside: this really IS the best meatloaf ever. I had no breadcrumbs handy, so I used crushed Ritz crackers instead. (Yum.) And I'll always use Lipton's Onion Soup Mix from now on.

    ComfortingAugust 09, 2008 By KimStinnettRoss
This is a great recipe. I omitted the sausage and the salt. The onion soup mix has plenty of salt. I made this for my sons, who really loved it. I will make this many more times. Both of my sons have birthdays in August, they both want this meatloaf made on their birthdays. That should tell you how great this meatloaf is.

I love meatloaf, but my son has never liked it, so I haven't made it for years. When I saw this recipe, I decided to give it a try anyway. I loved it, and so did he! I will definitely be making this again, and soon! It is soooooooooooooooo good!!!

Easy to follow recipe and SUPER outcome !!February 15, 2008 By frozendogroad
This winter I have been on a 'meatloaf kick'. I have tried all kinds of recipes-- from old cookbooks to foodtv network on line recipes AND this is the only one I have made numerous times. I have made it for company and have made it to have sandwich meat. It is great!
