Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice berries (not the spice mixture - see Note)
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Preparation:
Blend cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and nutmeg together until evenly mixed.Recipe may be doubled or tripled. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
Yield: 1 teaspoon
Note: Use the ground allspice berries. There is a commercial general mix called "all spice" which combines several spices much like this pumpkin pie spice mix. Check the tin to be sure it is not a mixture.
