When you go out and climb up and down steep hills in search of huckleberries, you know how hard they can be to come by, and sometimes the small amount you harvest are pure ""gold"". So in choosing recipes for the fresh berries you hope that the end result will be as spectacular as the berries themselves. Sorry! I just finished this recipe, measuring everything EXACTLY, and what I ended up with was a thick, sticky batter that didn't resemble any muffin batter I was used to. I almost couldn't spoon it into the muffin cups. I did add a little more milk to help with the consistency and put the batter into paper cups. Baked at 350 for 23 minutes. They are somewhat tasty, but not the WOW factor I was looking for. Just wondering if all the measurements for this recipe are correct? In my normal cupcake sized muffin pan, with paper liners, the recipe yielded 14 muffins.
