English cucumbers, also called hothouse cucumbers, are best for this garnish. If you use standard cucumbers, look for a straight cucumber of a thin and uniform diameter. Wash and dry cucumber.
You will need:
English (hothouse) cucumbers.
Sharp paring knife.
Vegetable peeler.
Your choice of filling for the cucumber boat cavity. Suggestions include carrot flowers, cherry tomatoes, parsley, shredded cheese, condiments, and dips.
