Rose Hip Syrup Recipe

Rose hips are the fruit of a variety of rose bush. Make this delicious syrup to use on pancakes, ice cream, and desserts.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (1 L) rose hips
  • 2 cups (0.47 L) water
  • 1 cup 1240 mL) sugar

Preparation:

Wash rose hips thoroughly. Remove stems and flower remnants. Boil hips and water for 20 minutes in a covered saucepan. Strain through a jelly bag. Return clear juice to kettle. Add sugar. stir well and boil five minutes. Refrigerate until used.
