Macadamia nuts pair particularly well with coconut, chocolate, and fish. Macadamia nuts can be substituted for other nuts measure for measure in most recipes and vice versa.

Macadamia equivalents

• 4 ounces macadamias equals 1 cup whole nuts.
• One 5-ounce can whole nuts yields about 1-1/4 cups of nuts.
• One 7-ounce jar yields about 1-1/2 cups of nuts.
• Macadamia nuts are often used as a substitute for Brazil nuts.
• Skinless almonds can be substituted measure for measure for macadamia nuts.
