Amaretto Oriental Salmon Recipe

From DiSaronno® Originale Amaretto

Amaretto, ginger, soy sauce, and lime flavor baked salmon. Although this cooks up quickly, plan ahead to marinate the salmon for 1 hour.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup DiSaronno® Originale amaretto
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 salmon fillets (1-1/2 pounds each) skin on
  • 1 Tablespoon hoisin sauce (available in the Chinese foods section of your store)

Preparation:

Combine amaretto, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, hoisin, pepper, ginger, and salt. Add salmon fillets and marinate for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Lightly spray a shallow roasting pan with vegetable oil spray. Place the fish fillets in the pan, skin side down. Bake for 10 minutes.

Pour remaining marinade in a saucepan, bring to a boil and reduce for 10 minutes. Place fillets on a serving platter and pour reduced marinade over the top. Garnish with fresh asparagus and lemon slices. Recipe may also be used for salmon steaks.
