If not, you can also find it packaged in the refrigerated food case. It's much cheaper to make it yourself, and you can adjust the flavors at will. Imitation crab (also known as surimi) is made from fish so it is a good choice for those who cannot eat shellfish. Serve imitation crab salad as a salad topper, sandwich spread, chunky dip, or appetizer cracker topper. INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION:Toss imitation crab (surimi), sweet onion, celery, dill pickle, sweet pickle relish, dill weed, salt, pepper, mayonnaise, and mustard until combined. Chill.
Serve as a salad topper, sandwich spread, chunky dip, or appetizer cracker topper. Yield: About 3 cups Note: Imitation crab is also known as surimi. It generally made from pollock whitefish which is formed, flavored, and colored to resemble crab. It is a good choice for those who are unable to eat shellfish.
