Use up day-old bread in this tangy bread pudding with orange marmalade and chocolate chips. This is an easy dish to throw together yet absolutely fabulous on the table. Great for a special breakfast, brunch or even dessert.

Ingredients:
- 5 slices day-old bread with crusts, lightly toasted
- 3 Tablespoons (about) butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup orange marmalade
- 1/4 cup miniature chocolate chips
- 3 large eggs, slightly beaten
- 1-3/4 cups milk
- 3 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 300 F. Butter a glass casserole dish.
Spread each slice of toast with butter and orange marmalade, making sure to use all of the marmalade. Cut the toasts into 1-inch cubes and place in prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips.
Whisk together eggs, milk, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg just until combined. Pour evenly over the bread cubes.
Bake for 45 minutes, until egg mixture is set. Serve warm with heavy cream poured on top.
