This interesting ketchup contains vegetables and spices, but no tomatoes. It is low in calories as well as being low-fat.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked carrots
- 1/4 cup cooked beets
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon sweetener of your choice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon oregano
Preparation:
Blend carrots, beets, water, lemon juice, sweetener, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and oregano until smooth. Keep in the refrigerator.Yield: about 1-1/2 cups
