Beef Jerky or Grilling Marinade Recipe

This beef jerky marinade can also be used on meats to be cooked on the grill or broiled.

Prep Time: 05 minutes

Cook Time: 2 hours,

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces (1 standard can) cola (not diet)
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Black pepper or hot pepper sauce to taste

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Place meat in freezer ziptop bag or covered container. Pour marinade over meat. Marinate overnight for jerky or at least two hours for grilled meats.

For jerky: Drain meat from marinade, discarding marinade. Pat dry. Dehydrate using your favorite method.

For grilled meats: Drain meat from marinade, reserving marinade. Boil reserved marinade for at least five minutes and use as a mop sauce for the grilled meat.

Yield: about 3 cups
