Lobster balls make great party food. They are loaded with lobster and chock-full of flavor and are quickly deep-fried to create delicious bites everyone will love. Similar to the more familiar fried crab ball, this recipe also combines shellfish with seasonings, breadcrumbs, and eggs, forms the mixture into balls, and fries them in oil until nice and crispy. These tasty appetizers feature chopped lobster meat, sweet onion, green bell pepper, Parmesan cheese, seasonings, breadcrumbs, and eggs. The batter is rolled into balls and deep-fried until golden brown.
This recipe calls for using raw lobster meat which is not usually sold in fish markets or the seafood department of the grocery store. This means you will need to buy a whole lobster and remove the meat before cooking the crustacean. While most often served as a side dish, you can also serve this as an entrée.
