Yam biscuits are a Southern favorite at any time of the year, but they go especially well with Thanksgiving dinner. Since they require no rising time, they are perfect to whip up at the last minute, especially since many of you will already have yams for the celebration. Alternatively, it's a good way to use up those leftover yams for breakfast. You may use canned yams, but it's simple enough to pop a raw yam into the microwave. Sweet potatoes may be substituted for the yams.
