July is National Blueberry Month. Blueberries not only taste good, they are good for your body. Blueberries rank as the number one fruit provider of antioxidants and are also high in iron. For a simple cool summertime snack, pop fresh blueberries into the freezer. Munch on them unadorned and frozen. So good! Try some interesting blueberry recipes, such as Blueberry Coleslaw, Patriotic Cupcakes, and more.

I was wondering if you need to use fresh blueberries or if it would be alright to use dried that have been soaked in water?

I wouldn’t use the dried, Kathi. If you are having trouble finding fresh blueberries, you’d be better off using frozen (unsweetened) blueberries. No matter how long you soak the dried berries, they are still going to have a bit of chewiness.
