
This delicious coffee cake is surprisingly easy to make and a hit for brunch. It's like a cake version of a cherry cheese danish pastry without the hassle of making pastry dough. The recipe uses canned cherry pie filling (I like the "more fruit" variety), which is readily available year-round. If cherries are not your favorite, feel free to change it up by using blueberry, apple, apricot, or other canned fruit pie filling. Try serving it slightly warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream as a dessert.
