If you love barbecued brisket but don't have the patience to do it Texas-style in the smoker, try this version made in the oven. It is smeared with a homemade BBQ sauce and topped with bacon slices. Your favorite commercial bottled BBQ sauce may be substituted if you are really short on time. Make sure you buy uncured beef brisket for this recipe. It is not designed for corned beef brisket.
