Looking for something different but useful to give to your favorite cook? Most home cooks have a drawer full of gadgets that go unused. These small kitchen gifts are a little off the beaten path, but sure to be appreciated. Most of them would make great stocking stuffers or package decorations and are under $20. Keep these in mind as a gift for any special occasion, not just for the holidays.

Thanks for the comments, Di! That garlic press is definitely on the top of my list. The Silpats and microplane are the next most-used in my kitchen.

I have no affiliation with the store, but if you have a Bed, Bath & Beyond in your area, take advantage of those 20% off and $5 off coupons in the local papers. It’s a little-known secret that you can use up to 4 of them at a time, and even though they have an expiration date on the coupons, they never expire. I’ve used some that are over a year old.
