How to Cook Spaghetti Squash Step by Step with Photos

Sunday June 14, 2009

Spaghetti squash is a good alternative to pasta, potatoes, or rice. The cooked squash flesh shreds into threads like thin spaghetti or vermicelli, hence its name. Spaghetti squash has a very mild flavor, thus it is usually served with a sauce of some sort. It may also be enjoyed simply with salt, pepper, and a bit of butter. Cooking the squash is very simple as you will see in the step by step instructions with photos.

Hello, I like to read your web page but have a comment. Some of the recipes I’d love to print off but to do so includes all of the other information that is on the page that the recipe is on. So therefore, to get the recipe, I have to hand copy it. Is there any way to get it with out all of the other information on the page that I don’t want? I thank you , Leota

Older recipes are still being converted to the recipe database with a print option, Leota. Newer recipes have a print option in the right column.

My personal method of saving recipes is to copy and paste to a text file in a word processing program. I file them in folders such as Beef, Vegetables, Desserts, etc. This way, I can print them at will and don’t have to worry about the copy getting stained while I’m cooking. I can always print a new copy and it’s always saved on my computer.

I’ve saved a lot of recipes on my computer over the years, many of which just sounded good, but I never got around to making. Saves paper with this method as you only print what you need.
