Once considered deadly poisonous, tomatoes are now second only to potatoes in vegetable consumption. With a good homegrown summer tomato, all you really need are 2 slices white bread, mayo, salt and pepper. My husband like tomato and p-nut butter sandwiches but then, he’s a weirdo.
