Brisket with Sunchokes Recipe

Tuesday May 27, 2008

Sunchokes, along with carrots, mushrooms, and onions, make a flavorful bed for beef brisket in the crockpot. The vegetables soak up the juices of the beef. The sunchokes, also known as Jerusalem artichokes, taste much like new potatoes when cooked in this manner, but are much healthier for you.

(1) STEVE BURKETT says:

In your brisket recipe you say sunchokes are healthier than potatos.Potato’s are not unhealthy except for some diabetics. The toppings you put on them could be unhealthy but BOILED OR BAKED POTATO have all kind of good things in them especially with the skin.Stop spreading bad rumours about them. You are read a lot and could be confusing or misonforming people

Actually ALL white vegetables contain a lot of starch. Green vegetables are healthier. :)
